About the Author :
ERIC GIGUERE is a software engineer in the Mobile and Embedded Computing Division of Sybase, Inc Previously, he was a lead developer on PowerJ, Sybase's Java development tool, where he was responsible for the PowerJ class library and database connectivity. He has written extensively for various magazines, including Dr. Dobb's Journal, Software Development, Computer Language, Byte, and Compute. He also wrote the Programmer's Guide to ARexx for Commodore Electronics. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the University of Waterloo, Ontario.
