About the Author :
N.S.V. Kameswara Rao is a Professor of the School of Engineering and Information Technology at Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Has spent nearly 40 years at IIT Kanpur, where he served as Professor, has consulted in numerous construction projects. His current research interests are Geo Mechanics, Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, Earth Sciences and Engineering, Numerical Methods and Analysis, Numerical algorithms, Computational Mechanics, Foundation Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, and Soil- Structure Interaction. He been awarded the AIMIL gold medal for Best Paper by the Indian Geotechnical Society. Rao has a B.E. from the Government College of Engineering, and ME from IISc Bangalore, and a PhD from IIT Kanpur.
