About the Author :
Jaak Panksepp was an Estonian neuroscientist and psychobiologist who coined the term "affective neuroscience", the name for the field that studies the neural mechanisms of emotion. J. P. Scott Center for Neuroscience, Mind and Behavior, Department of Psychology, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio and Falk Center for Molecular Therapeutics, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois and Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry, Medical College of Ohio, Toledo.
