About the Book

The main emphasis of the contributions in this volume is on surveying the current state and future course of development of fiber, whisker, and particulate reinforced advanced structural inorganic composites including: MMCs, CMCs, carbon matrix composites, and intermetallic matrix composites. The 80 papers, including 10 invited, cover many subject areas such as fiber and whisker production and characterization, interfacial bond control, fibre coating, characterization of interfaces, test methodology, NDE, durability, modeling, design methodology and processing techniques.
