About the Book

Stem Cells and Tissue Regeneration: Bridging Research and Clinical Practice delves into the latest advancements in the dynamic field of tissue regeneration. This comprehensive book begins with an introduction that reviews stem cell classifications, characteristics, functions, and their integral relationship with tissue regeneration. This first section offers readers a solid foundation and understanding of the book’s scope and significance in contemporary research and clinical applications. Subsequent chapters explore each major organ, including skeletal muscle regeneration and vascular organoids. Additionally, the book presents innovative strategies and methods for research, culminating in a forward-looking perspective on the future of tissue regeneration. Authored by experts, it serves as a vital resource for researchers, clinicians, and surgeons involved in tissue repair.

About the Author :
Wen Zeng is Director of the Department of Cell Biology, School of Basic Medicine, Army Medical University, mainly researching stem cells and tissue regeneration, cardiovascular tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. She has published more than 30 papers in authoritative journals, served as the forum chair or invited report at 8 international conferences, and organized meetings as the chair of the Regenerative Medicine Branch of the 7th International Conference on Tissue Engineering. She was invited to participate in the compilation of the English monograph Encyclopedia of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative, and co-edited two SCI journals, such as Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology. Dr. Wang is deputy director of hepatobiliary Surgery, Xi-Jing Hospital, Air Force Military Medical University, chief physician, professor, doctoral supervisor, and co-trained by Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, USA. He was selected as the National Outstanding Youth, the first batch of Young Yangtze River Scholars of the Ministry of Education, and the top young talents of the National 10,000 People Plan, and presided over one national key research and development plan project and one sub-project each. Published several papers as corresponding or first author (not including co-author) in authoritative international journals such as Nature Aging, Cell Metabolism, JCI, STTT, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and won the "Young Investigator Award" of the American Association of Hepatology. Dr. Jin Zhou has been engaged in tissue engineering and neural engineering research for a long time. Relying on cutting-edge cross-disciplinary common technologies such as stem cells, biomaterials, and nanotechnology, it focuses on two aspects: how to develop tissue engineering technology to improve the treatment effect of middle and advanced cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and how to use neural engineering technology to decode the brain and develop a new brain intelligence system. A series of innovative research works has been carried out and rich scientific research results have been obtained.
