About the Author :
Dr. P. Ponnambalam is a Professor in the Department of Energy and Power Electronics, School of Electrical Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. He obtained his B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, his M.E. in Power Electronics and Drives and Ph.D. from the Anna University Chennai. His area of interest is embedded controllers for Power Converters and Intelligent Controllers. He has handled the subject “Advanced Processors for Power converters” multiple times for the students. Dr. R. Marimuthu is a Professor in the Department of Instrumentation, School of Electrical Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. He received his B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation from Bharathiar University and master’s degree from Anna University, Chennai, and Ph.D. degree from VIT, Vellore. His research title is “Design of Low Power and High-Speed Compressors for Multipliers”. He published more than 50 research articles in journals and conferences. His area of interest are Embedded systems, Approximate Computing and Renewable Energy Sources. Dr. S. Albert Alexander is an Associate Professor (Senior) in the Department of Energy and Power Electronics, School of Electrical Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India. He is a recipient of Raman Research Fellowship from the University Grants Commission. His current research focuses on fault diagnostic systems for solar energy conversion systems and smart grids. He has published 118 technical papers in international and national journals, presented 90 papers at national and international conferences and authored 10 books.
