About the Book

Decarbonizing through Sustainable Hydrogen and its Derivatives offers a technical analysis of renewable hydrogen production, utilization, and storage. The book explores the potential of green hydrogen to decarbonize high-emissions industries through successful case studies. Sections cover hydrogen derivatives such as green ammonia and green methanol, showcasing their applications in various industries, including agriculture and transportation. The book begins with an in-depth assessment of hydrogen storage for short, medium, and long-term needs. It then explores strategies for decarbonizing the transport and steel industries throughout their lifecycles, focusing on utilizing hydrogen derivatives and emphasizing sustainability. Alongside environmental sustainability, the book evaluates the profitability of using hydrogen in these industries through detailed economic analysis. This comprehensive analysis is supported by real-world case studies and examples of pilot projects that showcase the implementation of hydrogen technologies across different sectors. These practical examples provide readers with valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges associated with using hydrogen and its derivatives for decarbonization.
