About the Book

It is the most compelling music ever invented. Born of a wildly successful computer game, Angel music has taken the world by storm. Some worry about the way it hypnotizes its listeners; others, that its addicts can become violent - but most are simply captivated by its beauty. Behind the music from the computer game called The Angels Key are three brilliant young men. Their goal is to create a perfect musical scale, and with the help of the enormous computing power the game s addicts bring when they play it, they are getting very close to success. Soon, the music s hold grows ever stronger, the musical scale comes closer and closer to perfection - and the world comes to the brink of an unimaginable catastrophe. One that can only be averted by an unimaginable sacrifice.

About the Author :
Natasha Mostert is South African. A former academic in the Department of Afrikaans and Dutch at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, she was educated in South Africa and at Columbia University, New York. Her political opinion pieces have appeared in the Independent, The Times, the op-ed page of the New York Times and Newsweek. She lives with her husband, Frederick, in London.

Review :
Bedtime reading for the brave . . . Mostert eschews the usual murder-mystery cliches in favour of murky, suspense, painting a picture of London that is as compelling as the unfolding drama. - The Times (The Midnight Side) A taut and disturbing story - Newcastle Evening Chronicle (The Midnight Side) A spooky read. - Fair Lady (South Africa) (The Midnight Side) A clever debut ghost story that starts with a phone call from a dead woman and keeps you guessing until the end. This South African author is one to watch - Daily Express (The Midnight Side) An intriguing thriller. - Elle (The Midnight Side) An immensely exciting and very unusal storyline...Natasha Mostert's unique, wild imagination, makes a breathless galloping adventure - Bangor Chronicle
