About the Book

Adopting a systems approach to the teaching of digital concepts, this book prepares students for the study of the hardware aspects of microcomputers and other complex digital systems. The concept of a truth table, an important idea in the specification of a logic problem, is discussed in some detail, in addition to the way truth tables can be implemented using Read Only Memories. Sequential circuits are specified in terms of a next state table and are shown to be implementable with a ROM plus next state register.
