Coexistence, Cooperation and Common Security

After decades of sterile arms control negotiations, a window of opportunity has now opened for meaningful disarmament measures. But to remove premanently the threat of nuclear annihilation a radical changes in attitudes is required, the most important aspects of which is the acceptance of the concept of common security to take the place of reliance on nuclear deterrenceto keep the peace. These issues are analysed here by experts from 18 countries. The collection gives an insight into current thinking about ways to deal with the crisis confronting the world.
