Security has become a salient issue for governments, organizations and the general public. Yet despite this growing concern, the provision of security is often substandard. MARK BUTTON is Principal Lecturer and Associate Head (Curriculum) at the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies, University of Portsmouth, UK, prior to which he was a Research Assistant to the Rt Hon Bruce George MP.
