Excerpt from book: CHAPTER III ABOARD THE ZOB Sayer was the first to leave the hall in the evening, explaining that he had brought no lamp for his bicycle, and that he had enough to do to keep on paying fines for his motor car without using the humble wheel to increase his penal liabilities. During the afternoon Peter had taken Nellie and Miss Vic to tea on his yacht, and could not well avoid extending an invitation to Sayer, which was readily accepted. Nellie and Vic had been over the Zoe before, but Sayer had not, and he showed a great deal of interest in what he stated to be a new kind of craft to him. She must draw a lot of water, said he. Why, she's over eighty tons, or I'm a Dutchman ! She doesn't draw two feet, said Peter, with a laugh. There's not a broad she can't sail upon except Womack, Martham, Rockland and Surlingham. Why, she can go pretty well wherever...
