It is here said to be performed 8ia Tovs fttklovras xi.t]povofit7v ooiirjolav, on account of those who are to obtain salvation, i. e. on account of Christians who are the heirs of future glory or happiness, or who will obtain it. Whatever may be the opinion of some modern critics, in regard to the real existence of angels as intelligent beings; it appears quite clear, that the writer of our epistle regarded them as such.
