The distance from ShucherR to Cana, was 40 miles; from Cana to Nazareth, 10; from Nazareth to Caper uaum, 23; aud from Capernaum to Jerusalem, '.'. t The word nobleman, is not well chosen by tle English translators, seeing it usually denotes rank, arising from birthright or patrr- ii'ony. The Syriac describes him as a vicc-roy; the Greek implies, a kind's officer; and Vulgate, has regulus, a little king. lie had, ...
