Review :
This is the best book that I have seen that genuinely integrates cross-cultural perspectives throughout the chapter while covering the content in way that is meaningful to the lives of the readers. RUSSELL SEARIGHT, Lake Superior State University This text is a necessity in our diverse society. It's organized very well; one doesn t feel overwhelmed processing the information given. Visual support materials are incredibly helpful in keeping students interest on the subject. VOLKAN SAHIN, Weber State University I am most excited about how well the text is written, how cultural aspects of development have been fully integrated, and the video clips that I would incorporate into my lectures. MINHNOI WROBLE BIGLAN, Chatham University It discusses developmental topics viewed from a cultural perspective in a way that is integrated it doesn't feel tacked-on at the end non-judgmental and balanced. SUSAN HALL, Pepperdine University Today and tomorrow s teachers will have a more diverse population in their centers and we can only be effective teachers when we understand a person s cultural. MARLENE WELCH, Carroll Community College I love the cross-cultural information. I believe that this text presents information that my students are not aware of in a way that is interesting and thought provoking. I think many of the cultural examples would spark an interesting class discussion. I would love to present this information in my classroom! LAURA RINGER, Newberry College The integrated videos in each chapter really bring home the material so that students can really see what they ve learned. PAMELA COSTA, Tacoma Community College"
