About the Book

A uniquely practical approach to contract law; the problem-based focus helps students to unfold the problem, reveal the law, and apply to life.Using this new and innovative textbook, students are given a problem scenario to unfold; as they do this they will understand the questions and issues surrounding each area of contract law. As they explore the problem, they encounter clear explanations which reveal the key legal concepts underpinning the relevant topic, to help them understand the operation of the law.Further illustrations and references to the problem apply the law, enabling students to see for themselves how the law interacts with everyday life and business, giving them a deep and practical grasp of the law.Engaging and thought-provoking, this is the most practically applied contract law textbook.

Review :
`A refreshingly innovative approach; this text is problem-based learning taken to a new level. It introduces genuinely life-like scenarios which capture the reader's attention and then unpacks and applies the relevant law in a way that enables a student to simultaneously develop both substantive subject knowledge and key legal skills. ' Alex Nicholson, Senior Lecturer in Law, Sheffield Hallam University `This book is compulsively readable, well-explained, and excellent for students interested in the application of contract law to the real world. The author's problem-based approach is unique and will help students apply concepts to problem questions.' Monica Chen, Student, University College London `Clear and pedagogically sound, this book leads students through the maze of contract law with dexterity and clarity of purpose.' Brigitte Clark, Senior Lecturer in Law, Oxford Brookes University `A good read, with the perfect level of depth on the subject; I wish I had had this textbook when studying contract last year!' Kiran Arif, Student, University of Hertfordshire
