About the Author :
Dr. Ursula Hoadley is Chief Researcher in the Child, Youth and Family Development Research Program at the Human Sciences Research Council, South Africa. Her areas of research interest include the sociology of pedagogy, schooling and socialisation, teacher's work and curriculum. Professor Jonathan Jansen is Research Fellow at the National Research Foundation and Vice Chancellor of the University of the Free State. His recent research concerns the transmission of historical knowledge among undergraduate students.
