About the Book

For courses in Introduction to International Relations A flexible, module-based presentation to engage today’s students RevelTM An Introduction to International Relations: Opening the Global System meets the current generation of students where they are, fostering understanding of key IR concepts through an engaging, module-based presentation. Breaking the traditional International Relations curriculum into 35 concise modules, authors Patrick McDonald, Terrence Chapman, and Robert Moser present the material in manageable “chunks” to build student knowledge. In order to highlight the relevance of IR, the authors illuminate key concepts via discussion of prominent contemporary stories such as Brexit, the civil wars in Syria and Ukraine, and the North Korean nuclear crisis. Revel is Pearson’s newest way of delivering our respected content. Fully digital and highly engaging, Revel replaces the textbook and gives students everything they need for the course. Informed by extensive research on how people read, think, and learn, Revel is an interactive learning environment that enables students to read, practice, and study in one continuous experience — for less than the cost of a traditional textbook. NOTE: Revel is a fully digital delivery of Pearson content. This ISBN is for the standalone Revel access card. In addition to this access card, you will need a course invite link, provided by your instructor, to register for and use Revel.
