About the Book

The recently developed Ada 95 is the implementation language for a new publication that retains and enhances the software engineering approach of the successful first edition. The object-oriented development and object-oriented programming features of Ada 95 are incorporated into a text which helps the novice software developer progress towards becoming a skilled software engineer. An object-first approach is adopted throughout, and program design tools in the form of Booch style object diagrams and JSP schematics are used to emphasize the importance of design in successful software development. White box and black box testing introduce rigour and quality assurance at an early stage, and software engineering in Ada 95 is thoroughly investigated through the examination of algorithms and algorithm measurement, flowgraphs, and metrics including OOP and usability metrics.
