Grace Mitchell has been in the field of education for 35 yearn, seining as a teacher, guidance counselor, and administrator in public schools at the secondary level. At the college level, she served as Director of Teacher Education at Davidson College for 9 years and continues to work with many colleges and public school systems in the area of teacher preparation. She is currently a faculty member in the Department of Educational Leadership at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
