About the Book

In Scotland, the effect of HIV and AIDS on children and families has been of central concern since the early days of the epidemic, and a large body of experience and expertise has now been built up in working with children and families in this difficult area. This work brings together the experiences of a range of people who work on a day-to-day basis supporting children and families affected by HIV and AIDS. This work offers insights into the role of social work, play therapy, family placement, residential care and bereavement counselling in supporting children and their families.
