About the Book

This text offers an introduction to the elements, practice, and aesthetics of residential and nonresidential interior design. The authors describe the numerous choices of materials, furnishings, and components used in interior design, and the text presents timeless design principles and elements and their application to interiors. It is in essence an introduction to the principles of design and colour, which describes the building and design process with reference to how they are intertwined. This edition has been reorganised to provide more integrated discussion of the decisions, processes, and techniques required for successful completion of a construction or remodel.
