About the Book

Oracle Developer is Oracle's suite of four application development tools: Forms, Reports, Graphics, and Procedure Builder. This is an advanced guide to using the forms and reports. The book's instructional methodology should enable the reader to build simple applications in under an hour and complex applications in a day or two. Methodology for the template is covered thoroughly: the organization decides on their GUI and other standards for development; lead developers create a template - a sample is provided which can be used or adapted to fit the organization; and then multiple developers can use the template and simply add functionality to create their own applications. Because the code for most common features is already in the template, applications can be brought to production quickly. The accompanying CD-ROM includes templates and report applications with sample applications built with templates the user can try.
