About the Book

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

"A knockout punch of a novel." --Mark Greaney

Pike Logan uncovers a geopolitical scheme that has spiraled out of control in India in this latest pulse-pounding thriller with ripped from the headlines themes from New York Times bestselling author and former special forces officer Brad Taylor.

While on a routine security assessment in India, Taskforce operator Pike Logan foils an attempted attack on a meeting between the CIA and India's intelligence service. Both government agencies believe it's nothing more than a minor terrorist attack, but Pike suspects that something much more sinister is at play. After another terrorist operation at the Taj Mahal, he begins to believe that outside powers are attacking India in the gray zone between peace and war, part of a proxy war that leverages terrorist groups for economic gain and control of rare earth minerals. But the separatists conducting the operations have their own agenda.

After a massive slaughter and kidnapping of hostages during an elaborate Indian pre-wedding party, two global powers are destabilized, and only Pike Logan and his team can de-escalate the tension by rescuing the captives. What follows is a race against the clock that winds through the bustling markets of Old Delhi, the luxurious resorts of Goa, and the epic halls of the Taj Mahal. It will take everything that Logan and the taskforce have to foil an intricate plot that leaves countless lives in the balance.

"Diligent spycraft, throat-clutching suspense, and military action that rips straight off the page. And this outing shows how political gamesmanship operates deep in the shadows, where nothing is black and white, only shades of gray." -- James Rollins, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Arkangel

Review :

"Taylor has written nineteen novels featuring Pike Logan, and they are still top-quality and one of the best ongoing series involving special ops. He's able to keep the stories engaging with terrific characters and locales while also making them accessible for newcomers. After reading this one, they will want to seek out the previous books, and they, along with Taylor's fans, will be eager to see what's in store next for Logan and the Taskforce. Who knew stepping into the gray zone could be so much fun?" - Criminal Element
"Taylor's well-proven, masterfully crafted action scenes are equaled only by his keen grasp of the global political environment. He stands alone among his counterparts in crafting tales worthy of both John le Carre and Robert Ludlum, and his latest is a heady mix of brains and brawn that is not to be missed." - BookTrib
"Fresh plot, great action, and Taylor clearly knows what he is writing about....When it comes to tactics and hardware, he is spot-on." - Vince Flynn, New York Times bestselling author
"Brad Taylor continues to dominate the military thriller genre, and it's not close." - TheRealBookSpy.com
"Logan is a tough, appealing hero you're sure to root for." - Joseph Finder, New York Times bestselling author
"Always a fan of Brad Taylor, I must say his latest thrill ride, Into the Gray Zone, justifies why everyone should be reading Pike Logan's adventures. Diligent spycraft, throat-clutching suspense, and military action that rips straight off the page. And this outing shows how political gamesmanship operates deep in the shadows, where nothing is black and white, only shades of gray. Don't miss this latest blockbuster--or any of the others!" - James Rollins, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Arkangel

"Brad Taylor's writing is as brilliant as it is consistent, and his newest offering, Into the Gray Zone, is authentic, action-packed, and utterly relentless. A knockout punch of a novel, this latest installment of the Pike Logan saga is not to be missed."

- Mark Greaney #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of Midnight Black, a Gray Man novel
"Non-stop action, wall-to-wall intrigue, and some of the best damn cliffhangers you will ever read. Brad Taylor absolutely crushes it!" - Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Shadow of Doubt
"Taylor is now laying claim to being the American John le Carre." - Providence Journal
"With his experience as an officer in the U.S. Army's Special Forces, Taylor brings firsthand military knowledge to the Nephilim 'Pike' Logan series....A believable account of elite operators working outside traditional government parameters to track international villains." - Kirkus Reviews
"As usual in the Pike Logan series, the spycraft and related technology are fascinating, the dialogue crackles, and all the players are operating in an international sea of moral ambiguity. Recommend Pike Logan to readers who like their spies tough, smart, and bordering on superhuman." - Booklist
"Taylor is one of today's premiere authors writing about the world of special ops." - Associated Press
"Pike ranks right up there with Jason Bourne, Jack Reacher, and Jack Bauer." - John Lescroart, New York Times bestselling author
"Brad Taylor knows his stuff." - Nelson DeMille, New York Times bestselling author
