About the Book

"Inviting, accessible and personal. . . . A reminder of an overlooked truth: faith leads to joy." —James Martin, SJ, author of The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything Fox News analyst Father Jonathan Morris challenges the wisdom espoused by New Age self-help experts with the time-tested counsel found in the Bible. Readers who may have sought solace in popular self-help books like Eckart Tolle’s A New Earth, Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret, or Deepak Chopra’s The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success will be enthralled by Morris’s moving argument about the enduring spiritual succor awaiting in Scripture.

About the Author :
Father Jonathan Morris, LC was ordained a Roman Catholic priest on December 24, 2002 in Rome, Italy. He has served as a religious news analyst and commentator for several domestic and international channels including CNN, Sky News, and BBC. He also served as a theological advisor to Mel Gibson during the making of The Passion of the Christ. He now serves as a regular news contributor for the Fox News Channel, where he offers ethical and moral commentary to regular news items. Father Morris resides in Rome.

Review :
"Father Morris has succeeded where many others have failed, both in clarifying the much-abused notion of happiness and, more importantly, setting our natural desire for self-fulfillment firmly in the context of our, just as natural, search for God. His book is well-written, immediately engaging, and was for me, insightful and personally uplifting. I will return to it again and will be recommending it to all, but especially to those whose spiritual trials have made them squeamish about honesty. This is a book, I think, that will change lives." - American Spectator "Father Morris has succeeded where many others have failed, both in clarifying the much-abused notion of happiness and, more importantly, setting our natural desire for self-fulfillment firmly in the context of our, just as natural, search for God. This is a book, I think, that will change lives." - American Spectator "Father Jonathan Morris's inviting, accessible and personal new book is a reminder of an overlooked truth: faith leads to joy. Through the use of insightful meditations on Bible stories, examples from his own life, and the teachings of spiritual masters from a variety of traditions, his book shows us why joy is the surest sign of God's presence in our lives." - James Martin, SJ, author of The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything "The great St. Augustine put it this way: if you're in a sinking rowboat, paddle for shore as if it all depends on you, but pray as if it all depends on God. My friend Father Jonathan Morris elaborates with color and care the mysterious balance between our work and God's grace, and the welcome result could open up a new section in our bookstores: God's self-help programs." - Timothy M. Dolan, Archbishop of New York "Father Jonathan Morris's inviting, accessible, and personal new book is a reminder of an overlooked truth: faith leads to joy, ... show[ing] us why joy is the surest sign of God's presence in our lives." - James Martin, SJ, author of The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything "My friend Father Jonathan Morris elaborates with color and care the mysterious balance between our work and God's grace, and the welcome result could open up a new section in our bookstores: God's self-help programs." - Timothy M. Dolan, Archbishop of New York "Father Jonathan Morris has love in his heart for every human being, including every person lucky enough to read his powerful new book. Here is a plan for making God your partner in seeking the life you deserve, filled with happiness, hope and success." - Keith Ablow, MD, Co-author of The 7: Seven Wonders that Will Change Your Life "Father Jonathan understands that your true self is connected directly to God. When you honor that connection, you honor Him and the result nothing short of miraculous. I've seen it happen in my own life and, with this book, it can happen in yours." - Glenn Beck "The path to happiness and a just life is complicated. Father Morris offers a way forward that people of faith will find refreshing and relevant." - Bill O'Reilly, Anchor, Fox News Channel "In this wonderful book, my good friend, Father Jonathan Morris, explains exactly how God, through the Word of truth, the grace of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit, can transform your life in ways that no self-help book can do. Read this book and begin the journey of transformation." - Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life "In this wonderful book Father Jonathan Morris explains exactly how God, through the Word of truth, the grace of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit, can transform your life in ways that no self-help book can do. Read this book and begin the journey of transformation." - Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life
