Janet Browne Janet Browne is a historian at University College London, specialising in the history of medicine and life sciences, natural history and evolutionary biology from the seventeenth to the twentieth century. She is a professor at he Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at University College, London. She is the author of the critically-acclaimed two-volume biography of Charles Darwin. The first volume, Voyaging published in 1995, was short-listed for the Silver Pen Award.
