Trevor M. BoopsinghTrevor M. Boopsingh was a distinguished member of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers. He served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources from 1981 to 1987. He was a senior lecturer in the Department of Engieering at the University of the West Indies and served as chairman of its Engineering Institute from 1994 to 1998. He also served as chairman of the state-owned oil company Petrotrin from 1991 to 1995. His seminal work, Oil, Gas, and Development: A View from the South, was published in 1990.
