Jan Novakofskiis the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research Compliance at the University of Illinois. He received his doctorate in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin and conducted post-doctoral research in human nutrition at the University of Georgia Dr. Novakofski has been a Professor of Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois since 1983, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in growth, development and metabolism. Jan's research program has included obesity, myogenesis and endocrinology with a current focus on prion disease. He has more than 250 abstracts and publications with colleagues from the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Engineering, and the College of Applied Health Sciences as well as the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences.
