Allie PovallA native of Lexington, Mississippi, Al Povall grew up there during the racially-charged 1950's. After graduation from Ole Miss, Povall served as a Naval Officer during the Vietnam conflict and then earned a law degree from Ole Miss and an LL.M. from he Yale Law School. He practiced law in Jackson, Mississippi; St. Louis, Birmingham, Alabama; Washington, D. C. and Charlotte, N.C. before his retirement.
