About the Book

The Phantom Ship Anita de Leon lay sleeping in her upstairs bedroom. It was well past midnight and all was quiet. The little visitor slipped through the wall with ease. She crossed over to the bed where the child slept. She stood there watching her for a few minutes. She saw the rise and fall of the child's chest, as she breathed air in and out. Once long ago, she too had breathed air in and out..... Playmates It is the summer of the year nineteen forty- nine. A little boy and his sister live out in the country. One day while playing under a shady oak tree, they are visited by two children, who suddenly appear from the woods near their home..... Ghost Hotel It is late in the evening. Bryce and his wife, Paige, begin to look for a place to spend the night. Up ahead they suddenly see an advertisement for a hotel with a Vacancy sign. They turn from the interstate onto a side road. A few minutes later, they come to a nineteen twenties style hotel. It seems to be the perfect place to spend the night. The following day when they go to the front desk to check out and continue their trip, they realize that all is not as it appears to be.... High School Reunion Merilea and Arthur Dotson are thrilled to be going to the fiftieth anniversary of their high school graduation. The joyous event is being held in the gymnasium. They meet several of their former classmates that they have not seen in years. After, a few hours at the reunion, they soon realize why those classmates have not been seen at other class reunions..... Down A Lonely Road Ricky and Nicolas have just graduated from college. Before entering the work force, they decide to take a vacation. They head from Miami to an area in the northern part of Florida. They are in search of ancient mounds used by tribes many many centuries ago. They arrive in the small town of Clover and set about their quest. A few miles off the beaten path, they come across a beautiful white house that has a style of the turn of the century in nineteen hundred. Since the day is so hot and the young men have become thirsty, they walk across the veranda and knock on the door. It is opened by an elderly lady, who graciously invites them inside to get a drink of water..... Into The Swamp Friends Everett and Dion are seniors in high school. Classes have let out for the summer and they are becoming a bit bored. One Saturday night, Everett has an idea. He suggests that they go to a swamp that is located a few miles from town. They soon learn that a visit to the swamp, is not the wisest idea to relieve boredom..... Premonition A young librarian awakens from a disturbing dream that she cannot remember. The following day she comes across a brochure that advertises swamp air boat rides. After reading it, she decides to take a tour on the air boat. It will be a ride that she will never forget.....
