About the Author :
Michael Lewis Michael Lewis (Nueva Orleans, 1960); escritor y periodista financiero que ha pasado de ser un autor de referencia para el sector económico a uno de los ensayistas más importantes a nivel global. Se hizo famoso con El póquer del mentiroso (Alienta, 2011), su primer libro, una narración sobre sus años de bróker en el ya desaparecido banco de inversión Salomon Brothers. El escándalo financiero que protagonizó este banco convirtió el libro en un fenómeno de ventas y en el testimonio más ácido de la codicia desmesurada que vivió Wall Street en la década de los ochenta. Lewis estudió Historia en Princeton y posee un máster en Economía por la London School of Economics. Actualmente es profesor en la Universidad de Berkeley, editor de Vanity Fair y colaborador de The New York Times y Bloomberg.
