Gegenstand des vorliegenden Buches ist der Versuch einer Rekonstruktion der erkenntnistheoretischen Leitlinien einer Philosophie der Mathematik in Kants "Kritik der reinen Vernunft" (1781, 21787) und in Maimons "Versuch �ber die Transzendentalphilosophie" (1790). Da sowohl f�r Kant als auch f�r Maimon die Mathematik von herausragender Bedeutung war, beide aber keine eigenst�ndigen Abhandlungen zur Philosophie der Mathematik geschrieben haben, ist eine Rekonstruktion der Philosophie der Mathematik ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Werkerschlie�ung. W�hrend Kants Philosophie der Mathematik schon ausf�hrlich in der Forschung behandelt wurde, steht eine aktuelle und umfassende Untersuchung �ber eine Philosophie der Mathematik bei Maimon immer noch aus, wobei die vorliegende Arbeit versucht, diesem Mangel zumindest teilweise abzuhelfen.Im ersten Hauptteil, der sich mit den Leitlinien einer Philosophie der Mathematik in Kants "Kritik der reinen Vernunft" besch�ftigt, wird die Kantische Konzeption der mathematischen S�tze als synthetische Urteile a priori (Kap. 1), die transzendentalphilosophische Grundlegung der Mathematik im Rahmen der transzendentalen �sthetik (Kap. 2), die transzendentalphilosophische Begr�ndung der Arithmetik (Kap. 3), die Bedeutung der mathematischen Grunds�tze des reinen Verstandes sowie die Frage nach der G�ltigkeit und der Objektivit�t von Mathematik (Kap. 4), Kants Auffassung des mathematischen Unendlichen (Kap. 5) und der Unterschied zwischen Mathematik und Philosophie in methodischer Hinsicht (Kap. 6) er�rtert. Im zweiten Hauptteil, der sich mit den Leitlinien einer Philosophie der Mathematik in Maimons "Versuch �ber die Transzendentalphilosophie" besch�ftigt, werden die beiden apriorischen Vernunftwissenschaften Mathematik und Philosophie einander gegen�ber gestellt (Kap. 7), Maimons Konzeption der mathematischen S�tze als synthetische Urteile a priori (Kap. 8), die transzendentalphilosophische Begr�ndung der Mathematik (Kap. 9), die Frage nach der Realit�t der Mathematik (Kap. 10), die Frage nach der Methode der Mathematik (Kap. 11) n�her beleuchtet sowie der Begriff des Differentials untersucht (Kap. 12).
