Jedes komplexe Projekt erlebt turbulente oder krisenhafte Phasen. Das Buch enthält eine Einführung in die Konzepte der Resilienz und der High Reliability Organisationen. Was macht Hochleistungssysteme aus? Wie "planen" sie Turbulenzen? Wie reagieren sie in Krisen? Es wird das H.A.P.-Modell (High Adaptive Project) vorgestellt, dass auf der Basis der eingeführten Konzepte eine Orientierung bietet, um Projekte widerstandsfähiger und gleichzeitig flexibler für störende Einflüsse zu machen. Das Modell wird validiert durch Interviews mit Projektmanagern, Geschäftsführern, Bereichsleitern (u. a. von IBM, Bosch Automotive, Deutsche Telekom, Cassidian, Open Grid Europe), die ihre Erfahrungen hochkomplexer dynamischer Projekte vorstellen und ihre Erfolgsgeheimnisse im Umgang mit Turbulenzen und Krisen verraten.
