Das Wahlfach Fahrwerk-Simulation beschaftigt sich mit rechnerunterstutzter Fahrwerksentwicklung. Als Simulationssoftware wird ADAMS/Car von der Firma MSC Software Corp. eingesetzt. Diese ermoglicht die Simulation realer Fahrversuche im Rechner. Dabei ist die Art des Fahrzeugs genauso beliebig, wie der durchzufuhrende Test. Durch die Zusammenarbeit von MSC mit weltweit fuhrenden Automobilherstellern lassen sich die Simulationsergebnisse auch in die Realitat umsetzen. Mithilfe eines ADAMS-Tutorials des Labors fur Fahrwerk-/Simulationstechnik der FH Koln konnte man sich Grundkenntnisse fur die Bearbeitung der Projektaufgaben aneignen. Danach erhielt jede Gruppe die Aufgabe, an einem Achstyp mehrere Versuche durchzufuhren, sowie eine Gesamtfahrzeuganalyse. Eine genaue Erlauterung der Aufgabenstellung befindet sich im folgenden Abschnitt. An einer Verbundlenkerachse sollen folgende Veranderungen untersucht werden: Ausgehend von der Ausgangsstellung der Federn und Dampfer soll eine 20 - Neigung nach vorne bzw. hinten (in z-x-Ebene) sowie nach innen bzw. aussen (in z-y- Ebene) durchgefuhrt werden. Fur diese 5 verschiedenen Konfigurationen soll dann mit ADAMS/Car eine parallele und eine wechselseitige Einfederung durchgefuhrt werden. Die daraus ermittelten charakteristischen Verlaufe von Sturz, Nachlauf, Spurwinkel, Spurweitenanderung und Rollzentrumslage sollen dargestellt und analysiert werden. Das Standardfahrzeug von ADAMS/Car soll sowohl an der Vorder- als auch an der Hinterachse auf eine McPherson-Federbein-Achse umgerustet werden. Es sollen 2 Fahrversuche durchgefuhrt werden, zunachst die Konstante Kreisfahrt mit Kreisradius 50m im Bereich 0,5 g. Hierbei sollen Lenkwinkel, Schwimmwinkel und Schraglaufwinkel uber der Querbeschleunigung aufgetragen werden und analysiert werden. Danach soll ein Lenkwinkelsprung mit einer Lenkgeschwindigkeit von 500 /s durchgefuhrt werden. Es sollen die ermittelten zeitlichen Verlaufe von Lenkwinkel, Querbeschleunigung, Rollwinkel, Gierwinkelgeschwindigkeit und Schwimmwinkel dargestellt und analysiert werden
