Ein Hauptproblem beim Einsatz von Fragebogen ist ihre Anfalligkeit fur Antworttendenzen im Sinne der sozialen Erwunschtheit ( Social Desirability ). Da per Fragebogen erfasste Verhaltensweisen, Einstellungen etc. fast immer einer mehr oder minder starken sozialen Bewertung unterworfen sind, neigen Personen dazu, entsprechend der Erwartung zu reagieren, dass die Art der Reaktion die Zustimmung einer sozialen Gruppe findet und Ihre Antworten dahingehend anzupassen. Eine der Moglichkeit zur Minimierung des Auftretens dieser Antworttendenz ist es, durch eine moglichst anonyme Testdurchfuhrung den Aufforderungscharakter fur sozial erwunschte Antworten zu reduzieren. Eine vollstandig anonyme Befragung sicherzustellen, wird in den meisten Fallen jedoch nicht moglich sein, so dass sich in der Praxis haufig mit einer blossen Zusicherung der Anonymitat beholfen wird. Gerade in bestimmten Kontexten z.B. Mitarbeiterbefragungen etc., bzw. bei sensitiven Themen wie z.B. Fragen zu Sexualitat oder kriminellem Verhalten zeigt sich jedoch, dass Personen diesen Anonymitatszusicherungen misstrauen und folglich verstarkt unwahre / sozial erwunschte Antworten abgeben bzw. die Teilnahme an solchen Befragungen grundsatzlich ablehnen/verweigern. Dieser Umstand macht es ausgesprochen schwierig, per Fragebogen valide Daten insbesondere zu sensitiven Themenbereichen zu erheben. Die Randomized Response Technique ( RRT ), deren theoretische Herleitung und praktische Umsetzung in dieser Arbeit ausfuhrlich erortert werden, stellt jedoch eine viel versprechende Moglichkeit dar, die beschriebenen Probleme zu vermeiden. Auch die Randomized Response Technique geht davon aus, dass sich die Bereitschaft eines Befragten, gerade auch auf sensitive Fragen wahrheitsgemass zu antworten, erhoht, falls die vollstandige Anonymitat einer Befragung gewahrleistet werden kann. Allerdings wird bei der RRT durch einen, auch fur den Befragten nachvollziehbaren, Zufallsprozess sichergestellt, dass das Antwortverhalten einer Person nicht mit dieser in Verbindung gebracht werden kann. Ausgehend von diesem Grundgedanken wurden verschiedene Randomized Response Technique - Versionen entwickelt, von denen in dieser Arbeit die vier wichtigsten Varianten ( Forced Alternative Variante, Cheater Detection, Warner Modell, Unrelated Question Modell) vorgestellt werde
