Dementsprechend gilt es, die Auswirkungen gesellschaftlicher Deregulierungen und Beschleunigungen auf das Soziale und das Individuum herauszuarbeiten; dazu werde ich Thesen gegenwartiger Soziologie heranziehen. Sie geben Auskunft uber Charakteristika heutiger Gesellschaft, wie diese sich auf die Befindlichkeit des Individuums auswirkt, und sie versuchen die Entwicklung von Individualitat zu prognostizieren. Allerdings benutzen die einzelnen soziologischen Texte unterschiedliche Begriffe, um die Befindlichkeit unserer Gegenwart zu benennen: Post-, Spat- oder Ubermoderne sind nur einige von ihnen. Um im weiteren Verlauf keine Unklarheiten zu verursachen, werde ich im Abschnitt 2 zum Problem der zeitlichen Zuordnung Stellung nehmen. Erst mit dieser Klarung ist es moglich die Eigenart herauszuarbeiten, ein Individuum in heutiger - westindustrieller - Gesellschaft zu sein. Dabei geht es um die soziologischen Beobachtungen eines elementaren Wandels von Individualitat und der damit verbundenen Problemfelder des Einzeldaseins. Anschliessend stelle ich eine Verbindung her zwischen dem soziologischen und dem dramatischen Diskurs. Beide versuchen durch das Allgemeine das Konkrete zu fassen, in dem sie Phanomene des Einzeldaseins typologisieren. Mit Hilfe der besonders fruchtbaren Vorarbeit des Soziologen Zygmunt Bauman und eigener Typenentwurfe, verdeutliche ich, wie aktuelle Theaterautoren Auspragungen des Individuellen wahrnehmen. Die theatralen Figuren werden sich auf die dramatischen Texte von Dea Loher, Jon Fosse, Mark Ravenhill und Botho Strauss beschranken. Alle vier Autoren leben, schreiben und beziehen sich auf genau jene Gesellschaft, deren Zustand ich beschreibe. Ihre Relevanz kennzeichnet sich dadurch, dass sie auf den Buhnen durchaus prasent sind und ihre Texte diskutiert werden. Und schliesslich aussern sie sich auf eine Art und Weise, die fur den hiesigen Kontext sehr nachvollziehbar und fur meinen Ansatz besonders gut anwendbar ist. Der Schlussteil der Arbeit wird die Arbeitsergebnisse kurz zusammenfassen und zuruckfuhren auf die hier formulierten Fragen zu den Spielarten von Individualitat. Dort wird es auch darum gehen, inwiefern die Ansatze der Gesellschaftswissenschaft und der Dramatik vergleichbare Deutungen anbie
