About the Book

This volume presents a series of contributions from the XVII. International Scientific Conference on The Reform of Education and Teacher Training to the topic Enculturation by Acquiring of Social Competences which was conceived and organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania, Vilnius Pedagogical University (VPU) and Heidelberg University of Education (Germany). Main topics of the conference were education and quality standards of university and high school education. Acquisitions of interactive skills in the educational and social sector are basic to quality management. Basic skills have to be developed for achieving the competence of enculturation in order to meet the challenges of our society in the coming decade.
