About the Book

Die Beschäftigung mit während der Weimarer Republik von so- zialdemokratischen Autoren veröffentlichten verfassungstheo- retischen Analysen hat in den letzten Jahren eine bemer- kenswerte Intensität erreicht. Die vorgelegte Arbeit ist in diesem Umfeld angesiedelt. Im Unterschied zu einer Reihe von Untersuchungen wird hier jedoch der Schwerpunkt auf die imma- nente Rekonstruktion der sowohl von einer 'älteren' Genera- tion von Autoren (Hans Kelsen, Hermann Heller, Hugo Sinzhei- mer) als auch einer Gruppe 'jüngerer' Autoren (Franz Neumann, Ernst Fraenkel, Otto Kirchheimer) publizierten Arbeiten ge- legt. Die Einbeziehung von Hans Kelsen bot sich aufgrund der inhaltlichen Nähe vor allem seiner politiktheoretischen Ar- beiten an. Anregende kritische Hinweise und Diskussionen verdanke ich Prof. Bernhard Blanke, Dr. Angelo Bolaffi, Prof. David Kett- ler, Dr. Olof Petersson, Prof. Richard Saage, Dr. habil.
