Mit einer systematischen Strukturanalyse beleuchtet Petr Hlavacek die schwierige Stellung der bohmischen Franziskaner an der Wende vom 15. zum 16. Jahrhundert. Wie reflektierten die Franziskaner-Observanten ihr Wirken im multiethnischen Raum Bohmens und Ostmitteleuropas und ihre eigene konkrete ethnische Vielfalt? Welche Einstellung zur Elitenkultur setzte sich bei ihnen durch? In welcher Beziehung stand der Antiintellektualismus der fruhen franziskanischen Observanz zum konfessionellen und kulturellen Kontext im Konigreich Bohmen? Und wie bewaltigten die bohmischen Franziskaner die ganz spezifische kirchenpolitische Situation in Bohmen, wo sich die romische Kirche schon lange Zeit in einer Minderheitenposition befand? Schliesslich: Was anderte sich durch die europaischen Reformationen nach 1520 fur das bohmische Franziskanertum? Im breiten europaischen Kontext arbeitet Petr Hlavacek das Besondere der bohmischen Franziskaner-Observanz im Rahmen der allgemeinen Observanzbewegung profiliert heraus.

About the Author :
Petr Hlavacek, geb. 1974, studierte Geschichte und Philosophie an der Karlsuniversitat Prag und an der Universitat Bern. Promotion 2003. 2000-2001: Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter des Historischen Instituts der Akademie der Wissenschaften in Prag. 2001-2007: Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Geisteswissenschaftlichen Zentrum Geschichte und Kultur Ostmitteleuropas (GWZO) an der Universitat Leipzig. 2006-2007: Prodekan der Hussitischen Theologischen Fakultat der Karlsuniversitat Prag. Seit 2008: Koordinator und Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter des Collegium Europaeum - Forschungsgruppe fur Europaische Ideengeschichte der Karlsuniversitat und der Akademie der Wissenschaften in Prag. Forschungsschwerpunkte: Kultur- und Kirchengeschichte Ostmitteleuropas, europaische Identitat im Spatmittelalter und in der Fruhen Neuzeit.
