About the Author :
Michel Honaker est ne en 1958 a Mont-de-Marsan, dans les Landes. Des l'age de 7 ans, il est visite par le demon de l'ecriture qui ne le lachera plus. Deja, il s'interesse a des genres aussi differents que le policier, le fantastique et la science-fiction. Apres avoir tourne le dos aux etudes classiques, il publie ses premieres nouvelles a 18 ans dans quelques fanzines avant de voir son premier roman paraitre en 1982, un recit de science-fiction: Planeta non Grata. Farouchement autodidacte, il se jure de devenir auteur a temps plein, gageure qui le voit enchainer plus d'une centaine de romans a ce jour, chacun marquant a sa maniere ses affinites avec le fantastique et le mystere, qu'il aime a regrouper sous le seul genre de l'Imaginaire . Les grands destins le passionnent, en particulier ceux des compositeurs de musique classique. Il signe un grand nombre de biographies parmi lesquelles Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin ou Wagner. Il consacre plusieurs ouvrages a son idole Tchaikovsky sous forme de romans policiers, permettant a un large public de se familiariser avec cet univers riche en emotions. Couronnes par de nombreux prix et traduits en plusieurs langues, plusieurs de ses romans tels que La Sorciere de Midi, Le Prince d'Ebene, Le Chevalier de Terre-Noire et la serie Le Commandeur sont devenus des classiques de la litterature jeunesse. Michel Honaker apprecie la solitude et la nature, et preserve jalousement son inspiration en un lieu tenu secret de Seine-et-Marne, ou, affirme-t-il, les arbres seuls aiment bavarder !
