About the Book

Une Anthologie répond en effet à un choix de textes dicté par les profondeurs de nos spiritualités respectives. Ce choix est donc essentiellement subjectif et partant, nécessairement arbitraire. Dans le fleuve immense que Proust nous fait traverser, les torrents d'idées sont innombrables, tout comme sont innombrables les vagues permanentes d'élucidation. Nous avons du opter pour certaines, laisser de côté d'autres. Une entreprise téméraire et douloureuse. L'oeuvre de Proust est d'une telle inouïe beauté et d'une profondeur si vertigineuse qu'à chaque fois qu'on ose omettre une pensée, on se sent aussitôt bête et ingrat. Mais l'Anthologie n'est pas l'oeuvre intégrale. Elle ne se veut qu'introductive et invitation à tous ceux qui désirent être initiés à cet univers unique qui relève des Mille et une Nuits. Le lecteur fera connaissance de l'un des plus grands géniteurs de l'humanité. Catteau dans son livre sur Dostoïevski les appelle écrivains saisis d'une rage fécondatrice, qui n'hésitent pas à créer des univers nouveaux, concurrents du monde réel et pourtant de la même texture, de la même chair, des univers encombrants à la fois conscience et rédemption esthétique du siècle. Il est fantastique de s'y aventurer.Une algèbre de la sensibilité- une alchimie de l'âme... On ne se lasse jamais de lire car ainsi que le relève Proust, le lecteur ne lit en définitive que dans son propre livre qu'il n'avait jamais songé à ouvrir, et dont il ignorait jusqu'à l'existence.
