« Que se passerait-il dans l'économie mondiale si chaque vie humaine valait au minimum un million d'euros ? L'idée qu'il y ait un prix à la vie choque. C'est indigne ! C'est l'esclavage ! De fait, le trafic des ètres humains est une réalité quotidienne pour des millions d'entre nous et les prix sont très variables: il en coûte ainsi 45.000 euros pour passer clandestinement d'Asie en Europe. Un enfant soldat se négocie autour de 400 dollars en Afrique. Un bébé kidnappé se revend 7.000 euros en Chine, pour un garçon et 4.000 euros pour une fille. Une prostituée nigériane se négocie autour de 40.000 euros en Italie ou en France, un enfant esclave vaut 45 dollars en Inde... Tout le monde a aussi en tète la grille des prix des esclaves sexuelles publiée par DAESH ou les tarifs des passeurs qui promettent l'Amérique ou l'Europe aux miséreux du monde entier. Mais sait-on qu'à côté de ces mafias, dans les économies modernes, la vie a aussi un prix ? C'est d'abord un prix de la mort: dans les décisions de justice de compensation des victimes. Lors d'un crash aérien, la famille d'un passager américain recevra 4 millions d'euros, celle d'un passager européen 500.000 euros et celle d'un passager chinois ou indien beaucoup moins. C'est aussi une pratique courante des systèmes de santé que d'arrèter les frais pour des malades en phase terminale, euthanasie qui suscite beaucoup de débats, alors que l'euthanasie qui frappe des millions d'ètres humains qui n'ont aucun accès aux soins est bien plus silencieuse. Tous les biens et services que nous consommons intègrent un seuil de sécurité qui est calculé à partir d'un prix statistique de la vie. Des prix de la vie sont ainsi fixés chaque jour par les marchés officiels ou souterrains, publics et mafieux. Dès lors, penser que la vie n'a pas de prix est angélique ou hypocrite. Au contraire, accepter et fixer une norme mondiale d'un prix minimum de la vie humaine serait une amélioration pratique pour beaucoup. Un prix minimum de la vie humaine à un million d'euros, par exemple ne consisterait pas à donner un million d'euros à chaque ètre humain, mais cette norme obligerait des politiques économiques et des stratégies d'entreprise cohérentes avec le souci de préserver et de développer la vie. Un prix minimum de la vie humaine est plus que compatible avec le fonctionnement de l'économie et des marchés et bien entendu, rien n'interdit d'aller au-delà comme le font déjà les opérateurs publics et privés dans le monde développé. Ce socle serait une condition préalable au revenu minimum et permettrait de tirer tout le profit des technologies: une harmonie entre l'humanité et l'économie qui vient, celle des robots...» François-Xavier Albouy

    A Thrilling But Totally Believable Murder Mystery

    Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
