Review :
"A gorgeous and electrifying salute to the power of empathy and friendship. The characters furiously bleed, love, and emerge on the page. Lenore is a rare talent." -Carrie Jones, NYT best-selling and award-winning author of the NEED series."Kara Lenore delivers an immersive sci-fi tale in Beneath a Sun Deprived Sky, where a storm-ravaged world and an oppressive mining guild set the stage for a story of survival, sacrifice, and quiet rebellion. The world-building is stunning-every detail of the warren-like settlements and the stark divide between the privileged and the forgotten adds weight to the characters' struggles. Del Marks is a doctor running from her past, but she can't escape the harsh reality of Balter's Den, where helping others means putting herself in danger. Her drive to do what's right despite overwhelming odds makes her an instantly compelling protagonist. Meanwhile, Tam Lyn-half-alien, a master of shadows, and tangled in his own secrets-wants to keep his distance but finds himself drawn into Del's fight. Their romance is tense, slow-burning, and never overshadows the gripping plot, which is full of shifting alliances and ever-present danger. At its heart, Beneath a Sun Deprived Sky is about doing what's right, even when the cost is high. Del and Tam's struggle to break free, to protect each other, and to stand against forces greater than themselves makes this a riveting, emotional read. Sci-fi fans craving deep world-building and conflicted heroes will be hooked." --P. J. Hoover, award-winning author of The Hidden Code"Kara Lenore catapults readers into a world where notions of bravery and a longing for survival are only surpassed by lasting friendships and a love for a forgotten community. An extraordinary literary debut, Kara transports readers to a place that they will never forget and into a realm where even the most vulnerable individuals find strength in their humanity." -Amanda Moore, Book Reviewer and Author of Reflections and The Corner Man
