About the Author :
From an immigrant with no identification to a global citizen and gender identity activist, Simona Spark has turned her passion for equality into her full-time career as a coach, author, and speaker. After finding herself homeless and living in a women's shelter, she has learned how to help others turn their greatest challenges into their greatest gifts. As the CEO & Founder of Spark Transformation Academy, Simona works with people from all walks of life, supporting them to release limiting beliefs so they can fully embrace their identity and create the future they desire and deserve. She also works with coaches, mentors, and advocates to help them discover their purpose and build businesses that align with their heart's mission and message. As the host of the Redefined Family in the Modern Age of LGBTQ Podcast, she is committed to creating a future free from labels and stereotypes. Simona has made a career of teaching people how to elevate their lives by raising their voices and she shares those stories with her worldwide audience. As the author of No More Messy Kids (2018), she guides parents into becoming the role models their children need in building life skills in a natural and effortless manner. In Raising My Voice: The Memoir of an Immigrant (2021), through sharing her own experiences, Spark teaches readers how to speak up, speak out, and come out through healing, owning, and sharing their own story. As an immigrant from a communist country, Simona faced gender barriers, discrimination, and even domestic violence. In a commitment to herself and her son for a greater life, she took a chance and came to the United States to pursue the American dream. During her journey from speaking no English to standing on the TEDx stage, she has relied on her commitment to her vision to raise herself above her circumstances to charge forth into her destiny. Born and raised in Romania, Simona's journey has moved her to sixteen addresses, in six countries and states, on three different continents. She now resides in Los Angeles, California.
