About the Book

As the writer went through trials not unlike many of us go through in life, she sought God's face, knowing that she was not capable of coming out of this a stronger woman without his guidance and support. She knew the reason she wound up in this mess was because she and those around her had the reigns over her own life and those reigns belong to God. This is the series of lessons she tackled throughout that journey. From true surrender in trust to loving others more than you hate what they do, this is a piece to read again and again as you learn how to give yourself over to a better life controlled by the One who made you....

About the Author :
Denise was referred to as "Dee" as she grew up and was taught that good girls are quiet, unassuming, and backward. This premise led her to acquiescence, rather than assertion, setting her up for failure. Today, she is more the person she had hoped to become when the journey described in this piece began. She is a Christ following mother of three, a foster mom, a wife, a behavioral specialist for adults with developmental disabilities, VP of Vision to Becca (a not for profit organization supporting orphan care in other nations), an advocate for Compassion International, and is pursuing her Masters Degree in Human Services Executive Leadership. Denise attends a spirit filled church (TriCounty Church of God) in DuBois PA and resides in Clearfield, a nearby town. Her aspirations include serving the adults she serves now in a broader sphere, fostering and adopting more children, writing more books, and making disciples in her home, her neighborhood, her nation and her world as each day she becomes more the person God has destined her to be....
