About the Book

Words for believing in yourself are the stars of this sweet picture book that empowers children of all abilities and backgrounds to not only believe in themselves but to be strong and resilient in the pursuit of their dreams. A teacher, a scientist or an activist - could this be you? Through lyrical rhymes and vibrant illustrations, This Could Be You says yes, it very well could be. This Could Be You by Cindy Williams Schrauben will sit comfortably on your shelf alongside other empowering books such as I Promise (by LeBron James) and I Can Do Hard Things (by Gabi Garcia). The full-colour jacket is a reversible, 22 x 36 poster perfect for inspiring kids in the classroom and home with positive messages! This book comes with a free Reader's Guide for children. The guide contains interactive lesson plans that encourage children to adopt a growth mindset over a fixed one. One activity asks children to rewrite fixed mindset statements like 'This is too hard! ' and turn them into something positive. The guide is available for free download from the publisher website.

About the Author :
Cindy Williams Schrauben lives in Michigan where she writes books for kids that range from the truly serious to the seriously silly. Before embarking on this path, Cindy held positions as a teacher, administrator, and more. She loves sharing the message that 'It's never too late to dream!' When not writing, working with other authors, or honing her craft, Cindy might be found dissecting her grandsons' shenanigans for story ideas, reading on the floor in the bookstore, or eating ice cream...ideally all at once. Learn more at www.cindyschrauben.com. Julia Seal knew from the age of five what she wanted to do for a living--draw pictures! After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design and then working in the greeting card industry (and getting covered in glitter every day!) she finally moved onto her dream job, illustrating children's books. She lives in a small village in England with her husband and two children, who provide plenty of inspiration!

Review :
"This Could Be You models positivity and confidence for kids in an approachable and easy to understand way. Skills that kids have in the book range anywhere from creativity, teamwork, farming and trucking, to being caring--a selection of skills that are a mixture of emotional and physical. The last page offers a short primer on growth mindset with examples of changing language to fit growth mindset, as well as questions to ask kids (or have kids ask themselves) as they read the book or after. Simple in concept but executed well, This Could Be You is an excellent introduction to growth mindset and tool for boosting children's confidence." --Booklife "This Could Be You: Be Brave! Be True! Believe! Be You! by Cindy Williams Schrauben is an empowering children's picture book with stunning illustrations by Julia Seal. I loved that there was no true main character in this book; each page featured different children and families doing various things. This book is very interactive, with questions at the beginning and end for children and their families as well, to think about before, during, and after they read the book. Having questions like this doesn't work for every book, but I appreciate the fact that they were included in this one; it gives children something to think about, and they can talk with their parents about how they feel and what this book might make them want to try. This Could Be You by Cindy Williams Schrauben was truly an amazing read, and I would recommend it to all families who enjoy sitting down and reading books together." --Readers' Favorite "This Could Be You by Cindy Williams Schrauben encourages kids to pursue their dreams, no matter where it takes them. It is a kind book, because people are helping each other. It helps kids learn that they can follow their dreams and do things what scare them." --Aaron and Julianne, Kids Bookbuzz
