About the Book

What the Dickens? A new puppy has arrived, bringing unintentional mischief and mayhem to the household. This little rascal hasn't learned his manners yet, but now Grandma is coming for a visit. Prim and proper, Grandma likes order and polite behavior. So, what will happen when she meets the newest addition to the family? Our puppy's young master is very worried, and with good reason. As the escapades unfold, eventually reaching an inevitable crescendo, the playful pup learns to become a helpful member of the family and Grandma comes to recognize the outbursts of energy, excitement, and miniature disasters as a simple expression of pure love. Children's picture book in verse, with 31 full color illustrations. Perfect for dog lovers and children ages 4 through 8.

About the Author :
Tammy Kersey is a children's picture book author and founder of Tale Wagger Stories, an online inspirational resource for parents who seek to empower and instill confidence in their young children. Tammy's focus on the empowerment of children at a young age ironically grew out of a middle age experience with unemployment and the realization that she had not been taking charge of her own destiny. A very active five months of unemployed soul searching, educational exploration, article and story writing resulted in the revelation that she was free to write her own story, even at this later stage in her career. The idea was invigorating and empowering. She wanted to share it with others and chose the path of helping parents use storytime to build their children's confidence, teach them to question, share opinions and ultimately take control in shaping their own lives. Tammy has worked as a marketing professional for most of her career and has a degree in History from The College of William and Mary where she met her husband, Ian. They have two adult children, Emily and Andrew. Her real-life four-legged inspirations are Oscar, Felix and Tristan. Lindsey Finch is an artist, illustrator, teacher, and inspirer of future artists and art connoisseurs. Lindsey has been practicing art since she was just a little girl. She started her painting practice with fast-drying acrylics, loving the process of mixing colors and layering thick brush strokes of paint on canvas. Acrylics peaked her interest in painting, but it was oils that had her hooked. With a tendency to take her time and enjoy life's experiences, she found that the slow-drying characteristic of oil paint matched her personality and approach to daily life. After receiving her Masters of Art in Teaching from Christopher Newport University, she fulfilled her life-long goal of becoming an elementary school art teacher and now has the daily privilege of sharing her knowledge of art with her young students in Ashland, Virginia. In Lindsey's spare time, she began creating commissioned paintings of dogs for co-workers. Her audience of clients has since grown and she enjoys the challenge of capturing the life and personality of animals in the form of a painted image. Illustrating What the Dickens?!?! provided the opportunity and challenge of creating a body of work reflecting various moods, reactions and expressions for the same puppy. Driven by a deep-seated desire to paint, Lindsey enjoys the challenge of recreating what is observed in reality in a way that has not yet been seen by the eyes of others. For her, painting is a journey, just as in life. Plan what you can and accept the outcome created from a little exploration, experimentation, and faith. Molly Hunter Korroch is a writer and editor based in Suttons Bay, MI. You can learn more about her and her work on her website at mollyhunterkorroch.com or at @mollykorroch.

Review :
This sweet story combines subtle life lessons with minor mishaps that kids will love. This book touched my heart. As I read the story, I smiled and laughed out loud. The kids couldn't wait to hear what would happen next! This story is super cute!
