About the Book

Fans of Emma Chase will love this satirical romantic comedy about a woman who returns to her small home town as a suspect in the murder of a man that everyone in the town, at one point or another, threatened to kill. The happiest day of Payton Lambert's life was the day she graduated high school and watched Bald Knob, Kentucky get smaller and smaller in her rearview mirror. She wanted more for her life than a tiny town where everyone knows your business and you can’t find a decent cup of coffee for at least forty miles. Twelve years later, an unexpected phone call in the middle of the night has her packing up her life in Chicago and racing back home to the one person she ever regretted leaving behind. Upon her return, she sees that Leo Hudson, the scrawny boy who followed Payton around like a puppy and could recite cow insemination facts in his sleep, is long gone. Now Leo is still hot on her heels, but now he's wearing a sheriff badge and dead set on solving a murder that may or may not involve Payton...along with half the town. In a town where the biggest crime happened the day someone kicked a few of his cows, people are pointing fingers, rumors are spreading like wildfire, and Payton swears she's only making out with the sweet-talking, studly sheriff to distract him from the secrets she's keeping. When you've been tased, peed on by a yippy dog named Bo Janges, and can't stop picturing what Sheriff Hudson looks like naked, it will be a tough job making everyone agree that...Jed had to die.

Review :
"Might be one of the best things Tara has written. It was laugh out loud hilarious almost the whole way through. And when I wasn't laughing- I was aroused by the naughty sheriff. And through all the humor and ridiculous antics- the message against domestic abuse comes out strong and powerful. Women are beautiful and powerful and funny and together- they can do anything and survive anything." —All Romance Reviews "It's Tara's best work to date - love, humor, mystery & muskrats. It has it all!" —Aleatha Romig, New York Times & USA Today Best Selling Author "HILARIOUS. Tara Sivec knows funny and sexy and she executes it perfectly, but this time with a dash of mystery that kept me turning the pages to find out who really did kill Jed. Thanks to Tara, I will never be able to eat another blueberry pie. Must read for 2016." —Meghan Quinn, Author of The Virgin Romance Novelist For FISHER’S LIGHT: "Tara Sivec is a gem of a writer, and Fisher’s Light is a true testament of her talent. Gut-wrenching moments that rip your heart out with the pain they inflict, magically morph into scenes so full of love, sacrifice, romance and passion, that you’re mended just as perfectly as you were torn. Add in Tara’s trademark sense of humor and love scenes hot enough to melt your ereader, and you have a book that you will be thinking about long after the last page!" —S.C. Stephens, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author "Fisher's Light is bold and passionate and emotionally impactful. Easily Tara's best writing ever." —Jasinda Wilder, New York Times Bestselling Author For TARA SIVEC: "No book has EVER made me laugh this hard. I giggled, squeed, snorted, and cried with laughter to the point where I’d have to stop reading in order to catch my breath!! PURE FUN!" —Aestas Book Blog
