About the Book

In the glittering world of Hollywood's music scene, Chorda Lear is a rising star-a pop artist, Internet influencer, and Irish witch destined to inherit her family's magical legacy, the Golden Guitar. As the fan favorite on the hit reality TV show, "Kickin' It With Midas", Chorda's life is on display for millions, alongside her father, the aging rock star Midas Lear, and his three influencer daughters. Adair Holliday, a talented and ambitious Hollywood producer, is Chorda's best friend-but also secretly struggling to ignore his growing romantic feelings for her. Though skeptical of her magical abilities, Adair will do whatever it takes to support Chorda as the new showrunner of the Lear family's TV franchise. When Chorda goes off-script during the live season finale, Midas banishes her from the show, and from his life. Desperate to fix things, Adair follows Chorda into exile with a plan to mend the rift. But when a steamy encounter under the waxing moon deepens their connection, friendship begins to evolve into something more. Now, the two must fight to reverse Midas' decision, while navigating their newfound love and the threat of losing everything-both professionally and personally. King Midas and the Golden Touch meets King Lear in this steamy, slow-burn friends to lovers romance.

About the Author :
Leslie is an award-winning author of Rockin’ Fairy Tales, an adult romantasy series of fairy tales reimagined set against the backdrop of a fictional Hollywood music industry, the Fae Destiny romantasy series where the real and Faerie worlds collide, and the Behind the Scenes contemporary romcom series that peeks into the off camera romantic entanglements on a wildly popular TV show. She's a UCLA Bruin for life with a BA and MFA in theater arts and theatrical design as well as years on the faculty of their amazing Department of Theater. Leslie's experience in the world of TV was as the assistant art director on "It's Garry Shandling's Show." Fairy tales, Star Wars, Broadway, and Outlander are a few of her favorite fandoms. She's a beach-loving California girl who called Los Angeles home.

Review :
"Leslie O'Sullivan's narrative style in Gilded Butterfly celebrates truth, love, and heritage, and reads as pure poetry from the opening line until the end." - InD'tale "Gilded Butterfly is a unique and magical mashup of fairy tales, Shakespeare, and lore, unlike anything I've read before. At its heart, is a beautiful story about family, the destructive power of chasing fame and money, and the healing power of love. The twists, turns, and magic sprinkled throughout create an engaging story that brings a new kind of fairy tale to modern Hollywood." - Megan Van Dyke, author of Second Star to the Left
