Review :
The third Texas Boardinghouse Brides book picks up where the last book left off. It is filled with strong and appealing characters. Although predictable, the romance between Jacqueline and Noah is a sweet story that brings the series full circle. The author teaches us about redemption and shows God's plan for each one of us. With enough summary of the other two books included in this story, this can be read as a stand-alone.--Angie Howatt"RT Book Reviews" (04/01/2011) Thisbook is a great tail of love forgiveness, and second chances. The thing Iabsolutely loved about this book was its ability to show that when we walk withChrist we aren't held to our past. I think so often we, me included, forgetthat when we accept God's grace and forgiveness the past is the past and we'reable to move on. This book does a great job at showing the same themes throughdifferent people and different stories.--Sharise Toombs"Christian Book Reviews" (02/05/2011) "Finally a Bride" is fun, "very" romantic, and inspiring. It s recommended reading for anyone who wants to spend a few hours enjoying a great love story that brings with it a message of hope.--Cindy Downes"Cindy Downes" (03/01/2011)" A story with feisty characters and more than a touch of humor. A story of second chances, restoration and God's grace.--Carolyn R. Sscheidies"I Deal in Hope" (04/18/2011) Finally a Bride is a heart-warming story of redemption, forgiveness, and finally, acceptance, in the face of adversity. It is chock full of lovely well-rounded characters that look to God for direction to reach their individual goals in life. A strong, uplifting plot keeps the reader reading to a satisfying conclusion. The growth of each of the main characters, especially Jack and Noah, is both profound and extremely satisfying. It hits its mark without coming off as preachy. This is a must-read for any fan of inspirational historical romance. Finally a Bride is a real gem. --Marianne Arkins"Long and Short Reviews" (03/31/2011) Finally a Bride is a charming love story that teaches a valuable lesson in forgiveness and acceptance. It is an inspiring novel of redemption as Jack, Noah and Carly put the mistakes of their past behind them and accept the love that God brings into their lives. --Kathy Branfield"The Reader's Roundtable" (03/30/2011) Finally a Bride is fun, very romantic, and inspiring. It's recommended reading for anyone who wants to spend a few hours enjoying a great love story that brings with it a message of hope.--Cindy Downes"Cindy Downes" (03/01/2011) I was so happy to learn that the third book in the Texas Boardinghouse Brides series was about Jack and Butch. I was also happy to see Carly back. And I'm happy to say that I wasn't disappointed with Finally A Bride...This was an enjoyable read and I would certainly recommend this book. --Angela Robinson"Never a Dull Moment" (03/27/2011) I would recommend this book to any and everyone because it has a positive and uplifting story with a great outcome. It goes to show that when someone willingly commits their life to Jesus they have to change from their their old ways no matter how major or minor to truly follow him. --Cortney Penn"Clean Reads for Happily Ever After People" (03/28/2011) If you like western romance then this is a great series and a must read! I am looking forward to reading more books from this author. --Abbie Tireman"Abbie's Reading Corner" (04/11/2011) The story was not only fun, but had some pretty intense underlying themes such as redemption, acceptance, and forgiveness. The book is really well-written and the characters come alive on the page and you part as friends. You will fall in love with this heart-warming tale. --Karleigh C."Book Bargains and Previews" (04/05/2011) Vickie McDonough has penned a terrific read. She puts excitement into her prose that keeps the reader enthralled and turning the pages. There is nary a dull moment and her characters come across as believable and humanly faulty. FINALLY A BRIDE is all about second chances. Readers will find life lessons within its pages. I read a previous book in this series, and will be looking for the one that I missed and other books by this talented author. --Penny"Love Romances & More" (03/03/2011) Vickie McDonough's third book in the Boardinghouse Brides trilogy is possibly her best yet. All the story lines come full circle, wrapping up the series in a truly satisfying ending. Vickie McDonough is coming into her own as a popular inspirational historical romance author. Her books just keep getting better and better! --Myra Johnson"Romantic Women's Fiction...Where Life and Love Collide!"
